Tooradin-Dalmore Football Netball Club is the undisputed champion at filling up its tanks – and now it has filled up its pockets after collecting almost $1000 from United Petroleum as part of its Community Rewards Program.
A supply partner of AFL South East, United Petroleum ran a year-long competition to find out who the champion club was at filling up its tanks in the region.
The Seagulls prevailed over all other AFLSE clubs, earning a visit from United Petroleum Commercial Development Manager Benjamin Charles.
“Congratulations to the Tooradin-Dalmore Football Netball Club and all of its participants and supporters for engaging in the program, not only benefitting themselves with a two-cent discount off every litre of petrol purchased, but benefiting the club in the long run,” Charles said.
“The beauty of the program is that everyone can get involved and contribute, and it’s great to be able to give back to the club in recognition of its ongoing commitment to the program.
“This sort of money can buy quite a few footballs and netballs like we’re holding here today.”
TDFNC took full advantage of its unique situation of having a United Petroleum station in the middle of town, racking up big dollars by having their members, supporters, players and sponsors simply filling up their cars for their daily commute.
Football club president Greg Kelly said it was the easiest money his club had ever earned.
“We did nothing special except go about our daily business and promote the program a little. It was that simple and one of the easiest fundraisers the club has ever been a part of,” Kelly said.
“Thanks to the team at United Petroleum for their management of the program, the quick sign up and mailing of the cards directly made it so easy to be a part of.”

2. Registration takes 60 seconds which includes choosing your club of choice.
3. A card will be posted to your address within seven days.
4. Simply use the card for your purchase at any United Petroleum Station, cutting two cents per litre off your bill and contributing two cents per litre to your club of choice.
