NEWS: North Geelong Warriors to host second Soccer Mums’ program in the region
NORTH Geelong Warriors will be launching the second Soccer Mum’s program in the Geelong region this coming Friday, following on from the success of the inaugural program which is currently being run by Geelong Soccer Club.
Soccer Mums is here and ready for you to come along and join the fun! An initiative by VicHealth, FFV and Melbourne City FC to get mums active in a fun way instead of just standing on the sidelines.
It's an introduction to soccer specifically for mums delivered in a fun, relaxed way where you met other mums and learn basic soccer skills without knowing it (no soccer experience needed)!
An introductory program through the Warriors will be running this term for 6 weeks on a Friday starting from FRIDAY 18th MAY (see attached flyer)
Sessions will be delivered by Nicole Krasic, who is the mum of Miniroos/Microroos boys Luke, Andy and Tom Grgurevic. Feel free to see Nicole at Miniroos training on Wednesday or contact her directly via email (nicbk4@hotmail.com) if you have any questions.
A third Soccer Mums program is expected to be staged at the Geelong Rangers Soccer Club (Myers Reserve in Bell Post Hill) in coming weeks. Stay tuned for details of that particular program.
Location: Hurst Reserve, Herne Hill (Douglass Street, Herne Hill)
Dates: Every Friday between 18th May - June 22nd
Time: 4.45pm - 5.30pm
Cost: $5 per session with VicHealth giving 2 free sessions (ie. $20 for a 6 week program!) All fees go back into the club!
