NEWS: Kardinia Park Trust to sponsor inaugural Geelong Female Football Admin of the Year award
KARDINIA Park Stadium Trust, in conjunction with Galaxy United FC and supported by Football Federation Victoria (FFV) and Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC), is sponsoring the inaugural Geelong Female Football Administrator of the Year award, which will be presented at a glittering dinner event on Saturday May 19 at GMHBA Stadium.
The event will follow the historic WNPL clash at the iconic Geelong stadium between Galaxy United and Bulleen Lions earlier in the day
Kardinia Park Stadium Trust is committed to making GMHBA Stadium Australia's best regional stadium and supporting local organisations who are actively promoting inclusion in sport. This award compliments the work of FFV and GRFC in promoting and celebrating women in sport both on and off the field.
Local Geelong Region clubs are being urged to nominate a prominent female administrator from within their club.
The Nomination Criteria is as follows:
- The nominee must have a minimum of two years service to the Geelong football community and to either be holding (or have held) a position on the Club Board or a Sub-Committee or have made a significant contribution in an operational or fundraising capacity at the nominated club.
Nomination Process:
1. To nominate your Club Administrator simply provide a summary of your administrator addressing the selection criteria in an email to Tonci Prusac of FFV by the close of business on Wednesday 2nd of May.
2. The Selection Committee will shortlist the nominees to five finalists.
3. Five finalists will be formally invited to the Gala dinner on 19th May held at GMHBA Stadium.
Selection Committee
The Selection Committee will consist of representatives from Football Federation Victoria (FFV), Geelong Regional Football Committee (GRFC) and Kardinia Park Stadium Trust (KPST).
Award
As well as a trophy, the recipient will be awarded a unique professional development opportunity in the next Football Federation Victoria Female Administrator Mentor Program. The program is for club administrators and committee members – featuring intensive mentoring with Carol Fox.
