NEWS: GRFC AGM to be held on Monday 9th of April at Leisuretime Centre
THE Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) will be held on Monday 9th of April at the Leisuretime Centre in Norlane West. Official notification has already been sent out to the 22 member clubs and nominations are sought for the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson positions.
The AGM for the locally based advisory body to Football Federation Victoria (FFV), which ultimately administers and manages the various Geelong Region football competitions, will be held immediately after the official opening of the new outdoor synthetic pitch at the Council of Greater Geelong (COGG) run facility.
The suggestion to hold the AGM at the Leisuretime Centre was made at the last monthly GRFC Delegates’Meeting in early March and all the club delegates agreed this was a good idea.
Nominations in writing for the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson roles need to be sent to the FFV’s Strategic Development Co Ordinator for the Geelong region by no later than the close of business on Monday 2nd April (one week prior to AGM).
Apart from the election of the two key positions, detailed financial, operational and managerial reports will be presented to the club delegates present.
It is very important that all clubs have an authorised delegate at this meeting.
Incumbent GRFC Chairperson Jo Plummer has asked that all delegates go back to their clubs to determine how the clubs would like the GRFC to operate and how the GRFC can benefits the clubs and football in the region.
Interested persons wanting to nominate for either the GRFC Chairperson or Deputy Chairperson's role can obtain a nomination form by emailing Tonci Prusac at tprusac@ffv.org.au
