THE reaction was one of disbelief.
"He's just taken the mark of the century," gasped those around me at the Port Adelaide v Norwood reserves match at Alberton Park on Sunday.
Terry Milera launched himself so high over an opponent he took the ball out in front of his chest, hauling in one of the best marks you will see.
The youngster, a product of the Koonniba Football Club, is an immensely talented forward playing with the Magpies.
Talked up as a potential AFL draft candidate, Milera, 20, won the Magpies' junior player of the week award in Round 9. Word is that if he were to fully harness his energies he could be an even more of a special talent in the game.
Port Adelaide is certainly happy with him.
"Terry is playing the best footy of his career so far," the club writes on its website.
"Terry is a naturally talented footballer who has decided to do the hard work that will compliment his natural talent.
"Playing across the half forward line, Terry can be a headache for his opponent due to his work both in the air and on the ground.
"One area he has worked hard on is his defensive pressure in our forward line. He also has outstanding vision and awareness that sees him rarely caught with the ball.
"We are all looking forward to see just how much Terry can continue to improve for the remainder of the year."
Milera was voted the club's Under-19s Most Improved player last year.
