NEWS: Second ALDI MiniRoos coaching course locked in for Monday 19th March at Geelong SC
THE date for the second ALDI MiniRoos coaching course, to be held in the Geelong region this year, has been locked in for Monday 19th March at Geelong Soccer Club’s Stead Park complex in Norlane.
Known as the "Discovery phase", this grassroots course is an introductory three hour course designed for coaches training 5-9 year old players, as well as parents who are new to the game.
The three hour long Monday night course at Stead Park will be fully practical and will encourage the coach to develop practices that are based on fun. The emphasis is on natural development i.e. learning by playing football. No coaching but organising fun football exercises is the key to helping players build a love for the game.
Another highlight of the course is that the coaches are exposed to basic rules of the game as well as tips and hints on building a football culture in a completely practical setting.
The course will commence at 6:00pm and conclude around 9:00pm and can also be used as an introduction to the sport for parents who are not familiar with the intricacies of the round ball code.
As places are limited and will undoubtedly fill up very fast, therefore any interested persons are encouraged to register as soon as possible. The link for registration is: https://education-ffa.sportingpulse.com/event.asp?EIDMC=1303433&MenuID=%2f17038%2f0
