Ryan Stolberg opened the year with a bang for the Ipswich Force.  In Round 1, he pumped out 33pts @ 41%, 17rbs, 1ast, 3stls against the Mountaineers, and has bustled through the remainder of the season holding an average of 21ppg, 11.5rpg.  Despite the Force seeing limited success in ’08, Stolberg has been a constant reminder of what the team is striving to achieve, and this culminated in Round 15 with an effort deserved of the Player of the Week Award.  Facing the Bundaberg Bulls on Friday night, he treated the home crowd to 41pts @ 53%, 22rbs to secure his best effort so far in ’08 and a morale boosting effort for the team.  Even with the Force only holding one win for the season, Stolberg is a player that can lift the fortunes of the team for future seasons.

Other hard hitters from Round 15 include, Jay Anderson of the Bundaberg Bulls who was electric on the teams triple header collecting two 40pt double-doubles and rounded the weekend out with a 20pt double-double; Thalo Green of the Thunder grabbed 36pts @ 45%, 15rbs, 1stl, 2blks to see the team still in contention of finals; and Michael Cedar of the Townsville Heat was unstoppable from outside with 43pts including 10 of 18 three’s, 6rbs, 4asts, 2stls to see the team a fraction off hosting their Quarter Final with the Cairns Marlins.
