GEELONG Rangers is a thriving, progressive and expanding club that has successfully consolidated its position in State League 2 in 2018 but is ambitiously looking to the future and progressing further. As such, it is seeking expressions of interest for its Senior Coaching positions in 2018.

Based at Myers Reserve in Bell Post Hill, Geelong Rangers is recognised as one of the best community clubs in the Geelong Region providing opportunities for players from all cultures and nationalities.

A Senior Coach of excellent pedigree, sound track record and similar ambitious goals is essential for the continued development of not only the senior squads but also for the junior squads. We are looking for a Senior Coach who is willing to filter their philosophies and experience through all age groups and levels. Your history should be able to substantiate your achievements.

Our club has committed to providing defined pathways for our junior levels and has a passion about providing home grown players with the highest level of senior football. Achieving promotion to higher levels would be a critical goal in providing players with this outcome.

The key responsibilities and objectives of the Senior Coach role are:

• Provide coaching, leadership and management to the club
• Organise, conduct and evaluate all team training sessions and matches during pre-season and the season
• Assist with the progression and development of the Reserve (Development) Squad
• Deliver coaching in accordance with the club’s ambitions and goals
• Actively engage in the recruitment of players and talent identification
• Work actively with and report to the Football Development Committee

The following mandatory qualifications are required:

• FFA 'C' licence or higher
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Understanding and proven experience of high performance requirements
• Player management and leadership skills 

The club is also looking for applications for the Senior Assistant Coach and Reserves Coach roles in 2018. These roles require applicants of similar calibre and attributes as the Senior Coaching role.

Position remuneration will be available to a suitably qualified candidate by negotiation and structured in line with the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience.
