Continued rise of the Marlins sends shockwaves

At a current 5th on the ladder and having only dropped 4 games this season, the Marlins are again in 2008 a threat to every team in the League.   The team is on a 9-game winning streak and currently cruising through their triple-header, of which they sit at 2 and 0 so far.  In last night’s game against the Force, the Marlins managed a 41pt win (124-83) with plenty of minutes being shared around to the entire team.  Brebner (21pts @ 80% and 2rbs in 24mins), Gray (19pts @ 77%, 2rbs in 22mins), and Cook (18pts, 7rbs, 8asts- pictured right) got the job done in this game and seem to be playing in a higher gear the closer the team gets to a finals berth.  Despite being a long shot, a small handful of factors stand between the Marlins collecting the minor premiership and a free ticket into the Semi/Grand Final weekend- their game today against the Goannas; their massive game in Round 16 against the Rockets; the Rockets game against the Goannas next week; and the success of the Pirates in their last 3 games.  Make no mistake though- the Marlins are here, they are playing superbly, and are ready to do whatever it takes to defend their State and National crowns.
