This is going to be a classic game of finals netball, especially after United showed what it is capable of when it plays to the highest level.
They led the all-conquering Kyabram by as much as 10 goals at one stage only to fall by that margin in the finish.
Shepparton, on the other hand was able to shake off a determined challenge from the Shepparton Swans to win by 16 goals.
There will be one-on-one battles all over the court and United knows that it will need to win them early to give it the advantage and the confidence that it can beat the Bears.
The Bears will be looking to replicate the netball it played against Kyabram a fortnight ago where they nearly conquered the minor premier.
If it can deliver that standard today, the Demons will need to be on song to go with them for the four quarters.
We all know that over the years these big games haven’t always gone in the favour of the highly fancied team and that will be something the Demons will be hoping happens again today.
Many are saying that the Bears at the very least need to qualify for the grand-final, having finished a clear second.
Previous meetings: United 42 d Shepparton 34 (round one). Shepparton 58 d United 43 (round 12).
