NEWS: Pre Registration open for 2018 Boys' and Girls' Junior Rep Team Trials
WITH the 2017 local football season nearing its conclusion, the Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) is already looking ahead to the 2018 Victorian Regional Country Championships, which will be held in Shepparton over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Based on feedback from last year, one of the improvements that was needed to be made was the requirement to get the message out there about the trials.
Therefore the pre-registration for next year’s event – which now includes ALL age groups in the Boys’ and Girls’ junior categories – is now open and all interested players are urged to express their interest by filling out the pre-registration form.
Online pre-registration is at:
https://form.jotform.us/72417545317154
By registering it will ensure the coaching staff keeps you up to date with the coaching appointments and trial information. Note trials will not commence until February 2018.
Note: The U11 Boys will again be split into the Northern/Southern hub, while the U12 squads and upwards will be a combined representative team.
There will be costs involved for the players selected for the final squads. Based on last year’s figures, this could be up to $300 but again the GRFC will be working hard to reduce this amount (last year each player paid $185 max).
It is also worth noting that at this stage GOFC are not confirmed as the administrators for the 2018 Competition.
We encourage all players to pre-register and please pass this email onto team mates and anyone who you think would be interested.
