On Saturday night, the Dalby Swans Shaye Easton claimed her first Heather Green Medal after storming home in the second half of the season.
At the half-way point, fellow Swan Mikaela Bella was leading the count, with Easton not even inside the top 10. However, four consecutive games that produced the maximum 3 votes saw Easton soar into the lead and claim her first Heather Green Medal by six votes after coming 2nd in the 2016 vote count.
It was a complete podium finish for the Dalby Swans with Mikaela Bell (11 votes) and last years winner Alison Moore (10 votes) finishing second and third respectively.
Toowoomba Tiger and joint leading goal-score Emily Hewitt finished in equal third on 10 votes with Swan Moore. Grace Elliot (Tigers) finished on 9 votes to round out the top five.
Emilly Hewitt and Jayde Struhs collected the Leading goal-scorer trophy as joint winners, after kicking 54-goals each in the home and away season. Fellow Tiger, Jess Gilbey took home the representative player of the year.
