Division 2 Men's
Qualifying Final - winner straight through to the Grand-Final
Warwick Vs. Dalby Swans
2:00pm @ Rockville Park
An 11-2 season, saw the former Allied Pickford's Cup premiers claim the Division 2 minor premiers title and would of had a lighter week on the track after their physical 1-point win over the Lockyer Valley Demons last week.
Redback's were convincing winners the last time these two sides met, to the tune of 75-points at WCU Oval in Warwick. Since then, the Swans have found some form with two wins and a draw. Both sides boast talented defenders, impressive forwards and hard running midfielders.
Players to watch include, Redback's captain Andrew Bardsley, Kristopher Millard and Kai Best who have all been pivotal in Warwick's minor premiership. For the Swans, the likes of Brandon Peltz, Liam Rathman and Jake Schreiber will be keys.
Elimination Final - winner progresses to the Preliminary Final against the loser of the Qualifying Final. The losing side from this match, their season comes to an end.
Highfields Lions Vs. Chinchilla SUNS
4:15pm @ Rockville Park
Division 2 leading goal-kicker, Wayne Webber will hold the key to the SUNS rising at Rockville Park and keeping their season alive. However, if the Lions are to roar then the likes of Callais Chicken, Kai Johnston and Colin Stewart will need to continue their ever consistent seasons well into the finals.
Defensively the Lions are very good, ranked much higher than the SUNS and Chinchilla will need more avenue's to goal other than the mentioned Webber.
Highfields lead the head to head count for the season, 2-1 and if the SUNS are to level this then the likes of Kaleb Hartwig, James Hill and Wayne Webber will need to have a big say in the outcome.
Westpac Women's
Qualifying Final - winner straight through to the Grand-Final
Toowoomba Tigers Vs. Dalby Swans
6:30pm @ Rockville Park
The back to back premiers, are now the back to back minor premiers and everything is motoring towards an incredible premiership three-peat.
However....... Dalby stands in their way and the Swans are the only team to have beaten the Tigers this year (include last year as well). The women in yellow and black have many different options but a few for the Swans to watch very closely are Lillian Paterson, Jemma Whitney along with attacking duo Emily Hewitt and Jayde Struhs. Stop this quartet's influence and the Swans will win.
For Dalby, Mya Vadasz, Alison Moore, Shaye Easton and Mikaela Bell are just some of the most important players for the Swannies and will need big games if the Swans are to tame the Tigers again.
Elimination Final - winner progresses to the Preliminary Final against the loser of the Qualifying Final. The losing side from this match, their season comes to an end.
South Toowoomba Vs. South Burnett Saints
1:00pm @ Lyle Vidler Oval
Statistically, this should be a close game! South Burnett are slowly growing in confidence and to score a home final will have them standing taller.
South Toowoomba their strongest team can win the premiership, however the Bombers path to this years finals has been inconsistent and if the inaugural women's premiers are to appear in this years Grand-Final they need to go back to the start of the year.
The women in red and black won four straight matches and sat on top of the ladder. For them to win, players like Morgan Prior, Renee Pickering, Mackenzie Farmer and Georgia Osborne will need to be firing. South Burnett will look to Reanna Fenton, Kayla Smith, Kathy Schick and Jenille Pasfield firing.
Allied Pickford's Cup
Qualifying Final - winner straight through to the Grand-Final
University Cougars Vs. Coolaroo
2:00pm @ USQ Oval
Both sides for the first team, will be near full strength and this Allied Pickford's Qualifying Final could be one for the ages.
Previous clashes mean nothing and lucky for the Roos' that is the case. The equation is simple, win this game and you have one hand on the premiership cup. One of the favourites for the Holman Medal, forward come midfielder Adam Green will be one the Cougars will watch closely but his partner in crime Carl Stevenson has joined in the fun over the last few rounds.
The sling-shot style game of University will be tested with the hard running, contested style of the Roos'.
Players to watch for the Cougars are Shane Iles, Tyhe Clarkson and Blake Donovan. For the men in navy blue (maybe white) the previously mentioned Green along with the silky Corey Bellert, Corin Sankey and Carl Horsfall.
Elimination Final - winner progresses to the Preliminary Final against the loser of the Qualifying Final. The losing side from this match, their season comes to an end.
South Burnett Saints Vs. Goondiwindi Hawks
3:00pm @ Lyle Vidler Oval
A late season find of form, sees the Hawks soar into the finals and first up they have their country rivals South Burnett. Facing the longest road trip in AFLDD footy won't bother the Hawks, something they have come all too familiar with.
It will be a battle of short kicking (South Burnett) versus the long to the contest (Hawks) style, both proving to be very effective.
On the small arena of Lyle Vidler, both work perfectly and the first quarter will decide this contest. For the Hawks keep an eye out for goal-kicking duo David O'Toole and Adam Scoble along with Jeremy Leahy, Jack Martin and Sam McNaughton. For the Saints, Midfielder duo Nathan Trace and Braeden Snow are keys to a Saints victory but so are Jordan Presnell and Joseph Amery.
