NEWS: Summer Sevens’ Match Day Coordinators required from October to December
FOOTBALL Federation Victoria (FFV) is seeking highly motivated, passionate individuals from the Geelong region to become a part of the Summer Sevens administration team and to coordinate this year’s end of year social leagues in Ocean Grove and Bell Park.
The Summer Sevens Match Day Coordinators will be responsible for the delivery and match day management of Summer Sevens across the two venues - Ocean Grove’s Shell Road Reserve on Wednesday evenings and Bell Park’s Hume Reserve on Thursday evenings.
The role will focus on the efficient set-up and pack-down of venues each night, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure the competition remains on schedule and entry of all results through our online management system.
The role is offered on a casual basis with the Summer Sevens competition running from mid-October through to early December 2017. The role will give successful incumbents a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within the sporting industry and will provide you with a foot in the door to one of Victoria’s largest State Sporting Organisations.
Summer Sevens is FFV’s off-season social format of the game and offers players the opportunity to keep on playing in a short, sharp, less structured fun based environment. It is played on half the size of a normal football pitch and is a 7-a-side competition.
Successful applicants must be available to work outside of normal work hours, have a current Working With Children’s Check, possess a valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle. You will also need to be able to work independently and be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment.
All applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia and only short listed applicants will be contacted. Closing date for applications is Thursday 7th September, with interviews being conducted shortly afterwards.
