Page reaches 300 games
Jodi Page will set a Club record this Saturday night in the Maroochydore home game against Mackay when she plays her 300th game. Maroochydore is the only Club Jodi has played for being a member of the first team in 1986 with an outstanding Junior career being a Queensland Rep 1984-5 under 16 1986 under 18 and in 1987. In December 1987 Queensland chose Jodi as the winner of the Ian Watson Bursary programme where Jodi travelled to the USA and attended Basketball camps which resulted in Jodi receiving a Basketball scholarship to San Jose University California.
It took Jodi from 1986 till 1997 to get the first hundred and then till 2002 to get the second hundred and this Saturday the 12th July 2008 will be No. 300. Jodi was a member of the Sothern Cross Champion Teams in 2005 and 2006 and the QABL runners up in 2007. Jodi was won the MVP in 1986, 1999 and 2000; she was awarded the Club highest Achiever award in 1984 and 1987 and the Maroochy Shire Council Bicentennial fellowship Award in 1988 for (Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Sport).
The ladies Game Starts at 6.15 pm and the Club would love see a good turn out to congratulate Jodi on this milestone.
