An early goal from Deeanna Thompson has netted Souths United a 1-0 victory over Brisbane Olympic FC at Goodwin Park on Saturday afternoon.
Unable to improve their third-place finish, Souths still hit the ground quicker, with Thompson's long-range effort beating Olympic keeper Anastasia Mavrick.
Although Olympic had a number of gilt-edged chances with Zoe Lambi the standout, they were unable to score an equaliser in their last match of the season.
Souths now turn their attention to The Gap for next weekend's semi-final, having last beat them 2-1 in Round 12.
