Coolaroo secured a top two finish with a narrow AFL Darling Downs division one win over Goondiwindi at Gold Park.
The 'Roos posted a hard-fought 12.14 (86) to 12.12 (84) victory over the Hawks in what was a tight battle throughout.
There was little more than a kick between the two teams for much of the game in what was a great finals preparation for both teams.
Adam Green kicked six majors for Coolaroo but it wasn't quite enough to take top spot on the AFLDD top goal-scorers list, with Goondiwindi's David O'Toole also slotting six to keep his one-goal advantage.
The result was enough for Coolaroo to move up to second on the ladder after the last round, with Souths Burnett dropping back to third after a narrow one-point loss to South Toowoomba at Heritage Oval.
The Bombers led at every change and held on for the win as South Burnett finished strongly against a fatiguing South Toowoomba, which had no players available on the bench at the end of the game.
South Toowoomba drew level with Goondiwindi on 24 points on the ladder but miss out on a place in the finals due to an inferior percentage.
Meanwhile, South Toowoomba has edged out South Burnett in the last-round preview of the women's elimination semi-final.
