Mazenod College has been awarded the 2017 Champion School Cup in one of the most closely contested results witnessed at the Volleyball Victoria Schools Cup - Three Day Event.
The 2017 Schools Cup - Three Day Event was held Friday 28 to Sunday 30 July, with more than 160 teams from 34 Schools compete, with Mazenod claiming the Cup by a slender two-point margin, which included two gold and two silver medals contributing to their 580 points. In second place, Eltham High School on 578, and third place Billanook on 569. The final top six table is available below.
The Champion School is determined by counting the points accumulated by up to the six best placed teams from each school. Mazenod College are only the second school to win a Schools Cup event this year, with Rowville seeking the trifecta having previously claimed the Beach and one Day event Champions School titles.
Attention now turns to the upcoming Volleyball Victoria Primary Schools Cup which will be held 24 November. Online entries will open in October.
Once again, congratulations to all schools, organisers, players, coaches, and referees for making this another successful event.
