FOOTBALL
Mansfield will fancy its chances of taking on the finals bound Euroa and causing an upset.
The Eagles will look to replicate the form of the game it played against Seymour.
If they can they will be some chance against the Magpies who will be desperate to get back on track after a 10-goal loss to Rochester last round.
The Magpies are down a few troops at the minute, but coach, JD Hayes won’t be using that as an excuse.
One thing in the Magpies favour is their good recent record against the Eagles.
For it to continue the likes of Bradley Gleeson, Will McFarlane, Max Gleeson, Brock Storer, Benjamin Hayes, Matthew Ivill and Nathan Gilliland will need to take their A grade game to the Alpine country today.
If they don’t bring their best, the likes of Luke Walsh, Ryan Bartlett, Brett Mahoney, Jacob Howe, Tom German and Ross Brown will pounce on the Magpies.
Tip: Euroa
NETBALL
Euroa has dropped out of the top six on the back of two successive losses.
Coach, Laura Emanuelli would have made the long trip home from Rochester absolutely gutted, knowing her team let slip an opportunity to shore up their place in the top six.
Despite the loss, Euroa remains well in the mix to play finals, with matches to come against Seymour and Tatura to close at the home and away season.
She knows there will be no margin for error and then results must fall their way to regain a place back inside the top six.
Mansfield is desperate for the season to be over, having experienced some tough days on the court in 2017.
The Eagles suffered a big loss last round at the hands of the reigning premier.
They will be keen to put up a good fight to try and end on a high.
Tip: Euroa.
