NEWS: PFA CEO John Didulica the keynote speaker for upcoming FFV Breakfast event at Simonds Stadium

PROFESSIONAL Footballers' Association (PFA) Chief Executive John Didulica has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the upcoming Football Federation Victoria (FFV) Community in Business breakfast event on Friday August 18 at Simonds Stadium.

Geelong born Didulica (pictured) has an impressive list of achievements in the football industry, starting off as a junior player at his childhood club North Geelong Warriors and progressing on to senior football at the Melbourne Knights and Sydney United in the now defunct National Soccer League (NSL).

Completing a Law degree at Deakin University in Geelong, Didulica was the inaugural Football Director at Hyundai A-League club Melbourne Heart before continuing in the role when the club transitioned into the Manchester City owned Melbourne City.

His impressive credits also include serving as a Legal Counsel for Football Federation Australia as well as working for FIFA on its global Dispute Resolution Chamber.

To be held in the magnificent Captain’s Room, it will be the first time that the successful FFV corporate function series will be staged outside of metropolitan Melbourne.

Geelong Region Football Committee (GRFC) Chairperson, Jo Plummer, is thrilled that the renowned sporting corporate event is coming to Geelong.

"I am thrilled that Geelong will be hosting FFV's very first regional Community in Business event in Victoria. It is a tremendous initiative by FFV and it is a privilege for the Geelong region to be hosting with only four events planned each year. I'm encouraging any person, business or community organisation to be part of this event and benefit from the commercial and social opportunities it presents. We want to ensure this fabulous forum remains on the annual calendar.

"We are all aware of the social and economic prosperity that a thriving sporting community brings to the broader community. With football now the number one club sport in Australia, Geelong's participation has soared to the fastest growing on the state. Community in Business is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate how business and community can work together to achieve extraordinary outcomes for our region," concluded the GRFC Chairperson.

Plummer will be joined by homegrown ex-Socceroos legends Josip Skoko and Steve Horvat on a special discussion panel before an anticipated audience of over 250 local football and business identities

Community in Business is renowned for providing fantastic entertainment and genuine networking opportunities by bringing together Victoria’s key football stakeholders including businesses, football clubs, media and government.

Paint giant Taubmans has been secured as the event’s major sponsor with Geelong Connected Communities also co-sponsoring the breakfast, while ElectricityWizard is the presenting partner of Community in Business.

Individual seat tickets are just $55 or $500 for a table of 10 persons. Commencing at 7:30am, the morning event will go for two hours. The dress code is business attire.

Don't miss out! Limited tickets are available for purchase online at
