Gators Get Up Over UQFC

The Gap FC have won three matches in a row after getting the better of UQFC 2-0 at Lions Stadium.
The game opened at a solid pace and it was The Gap who made the first breakthrough when Catherine O'Neill landed a long-range strike in the 23rd minute.
A penalty could have seen the scores level early in the second half, but a solid save from Noran Abaza kept The Gap in front.
Megan Price sealed the deal for The Gap in the 53rd minute with a cracker of a shot from 18 yards out. They have now moved into 39 points and sit four points behind leaders Peninsula Power.
The Gap will take on Eastern Suburbs at Heath Park next round, while UQFC travel to Sunshine Coast Stadium to take on Sunshine Coast Fire.
