Football
Mooroopna will be looking to once again be a nuisance to a team that is heading towards the September action.
The Cats scored one of their best wins in two years under Dale Osborne last weekend and he will be keen to see his young Cats take another step in the right direction.
Hugh Robertson, Brandyn Grenfell, Dylan Scopel, Harrison Wheeler, Brent Colbert and Jordan Hockley will be the players desperate to ensure the Lions don’t suffer the same fate as the Murray Bombers.
Dean Smith, Clint Riley, Jack Lear, Jerome Sorgel, Benjamin Hicks and Trent Freer were the stars of the win and the Cats gained plenty of confidence from the win, especially as Echuca charged home in the last quarter.
Osborne will be keen for his team to dish up a four quarter effort to be a chance to add another win to their tally.
Tip: Seymour.
Netball
Mooroopna missed a golden opportunity to jump back into the top six when it suffered a one goal loss at the hands of Echuca last weekend.
This is a real danger game for the Cats today as the visitors have been in some really good form, with three wins from their past four matches.
Coach Laura Carland has the team playing some really good netball and there is no doubt they will fancy pulling off an upset today.
Mooroopna coach Jenny McCluskey knows this is an important four points that her girls just must secure if they want to play finals.
The Cats will need to start the game well and ensure they control the tempo. If they can do that and apply early scoreboard pressure to the Lions then they should be able to win the match.
Tip: Mooroopna.
