Football
Echuca must keep winning if wants to qualify for the finals for the first time under the guidance of Andrew Briggs.
Briggs has called time on his coaching career and he will be desperate to go out with a bang.
For him to do that, games like today must not be dropped.
The Cats have played patches of good football, but the frustration for the coaching staff has been the lapses.
They have proven costly and if it occurs again today, the likes of Simon Buckley, Tyler Phillips, Liam Wilkinson, William Murnane, Bart Phillips and Brent McGrath will punish them.
Some the young Cats have been impressive of late and Ethan Hodgkin, Romain Grenville, Ashley Thompson, Trent Herbert, Kai Madgwick and Ajak Dang will look to fire again today.
If they can get support from some of the team’s more experienced players than they could be an outside chance of victory.
Tip: Echuca.
Netball
This is a massive game in the context of these two teams’ season.
After a fast start to the year, Mooroopna has really struggled to sustain its consistency while Echuca has had an up and down season as well.
The game means more to the Murray Bombers as they really can’t afford to drop this game as they currently sit six points behind the sixth placed Euroa.
For the Cats, the game is equally as important as a win will keep their top six hopes alive and end the Murray Bombers’ hopes.
This is really a flip of the coin and it will come down to which team can make the most of their opportunities with ball in hand.
Tip: Echuca.
