South Burnett has moved into a share of second spot on the AFL Darling Downs division one ladder with a win on the road over Coolaroo.
The Saints share spot with Coolaroo after winning 10.9 (69) to 7.9 (51) over the 'Roos at Kratzke Oval on Saturday.
Momentum and the lead changed a few times during the contest and the Saints were able to prevail after kicking three goals to one in the final term.
Both teams are three wins behind ladder leader University after the Cougars ran away with a 16.11 (107) to 5.3 (33) victory over a depleted South Toowoomba at USQ.
Josh Timmer booted eight goals as Uni turned a one-point lead at half-time into a 74-point victory.
The Bombers drop to fifth with the result after Goondiwindi blew away a 17-man Toowoomba Tigers with a 231-point triumph.
Adam Scoble kicked 12 goals while David O'Toole slotted nine to post a win which puts the Hawks level on 16 points with South Toowoomba but ahead of the Bombers on percentage.
Meanwhile Lauren McKeiver kicked nine and Georgia Osborne eight goals in South Toowoomba's big win over Lockyer-Warwick in the women's competition.
Alison Moore also kicked eight goals in Dalby's win over South Burnett.
