Football
This is a massive game in the context of these teams’ top two aspirations.
The Saints suffered a massive reality check against Kyabram and coach, Luke Morgan will be keen to see how his team responds against a fellow premiership contender.
David Mennen, Brody Webster, Christopher Welsh, Michael Ryan, Charlie Morrison and Jayden Guppy were some of the key contributors in last weekend’s loss.
Morgan will no doubt put it on his more senior players to improve their output to ensure the Saints take it to the Pies.
Euroa coach JD Hayes will be looking for a lift from his players.
While the Pies got the four points last weekend, I have no doubt JD Hayes will be demanding better from his group to avoid defeat to the Saints.
Benjamin Harrison, Jacob Gleeson, Matthew Ivill, Adam Tarrant, Marcus Varley and Ryley Bjorksten were some of the players to get the Pies across the line last weekend.
They will be looking to continue their good form to help the team consolidate its place in the top bracket of teams.
Tip: Benalla.
Netball
Benalla is a team that has probably slipped under the radar of the competition.
The Saints sit inside the top six with 26 points while Euroa has dropped out of the top bracket with successive losses.
The Magpies have some really good players on their roster and many would be surprised it is out of the six.
Coach Laura Emanuelli will be hoping for a turnaround in fortunes to get the season back on track.
Tip: Benalla
