AFL Canada would like to thank Paul Sadler Swimland for once again helping our national teams in pursuit of International Cup success. “Paul Sadler Swimland was a sponsor in 2014 and seeing them step up again is fantastic. Their support and commitment of Footy in Canada is unfounded; it means so much to our athletes. Repeated support, affirms to our players, support staff and administration that our national program is worth getting behind.” (AFL Canada’s President, Lachlan Griffiths)
The Northwind and Northern Lights are preparing for the International Cup (IC) champions and will be heading to Melbourne, Australia later this summer. The teams with players from across Canada will be competing against other countries, August 5 to 19th. The IC is a showcase for the sport of Australian Rules Football. It provides an opportunity for players from across the globe to come together and celebrate the sports reach outside of Australia. There will be 25 teams representing 18 different nations from North America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific who will compete in both a men’s and women’s tournament. More information on IC 17 can be found here http://www.afl.com.au/internationalcup.
“Paul Sadler Swimland has a passionate commitment to community organisations. We are particularly passionate about our relationship with AFL Canada and their National teams given Swimland and 'Footy' have important historical ties originating out of Australia. We look forward to both teams achieving their goals at the 2017 International Cup and together growing 'Footy' across Canada." (Jason Arnold General Manager for Paul Sadler Swimland Canada)
