Drouin mid court star Christie Edwards takes a three vote lead in the Gippsland Cosmetic Laser Clinic Most Valuable Player award at the half way mark of the season. Edwards leads team mate and Open Interleague coach Stacie Gardiner by three votes after the first nine matches with a further group of four players including Morwell's Casey Sheriff , Leongatha's Nicola Marriot , Traralgon's Ramayer Gourley and Moe's Montana Holmes sitting on two votes back on twelve votes.
Edwards has polled in seven games so far with her only voteless games coming in round 4 & 8. Gardiner has hit a rich vein of form polling 10 votes in the last four weeks including in her 56 goal game against Bairnsdale.
