Friday night footy returns for the first time this season, as the South Toowoomba Bombers host Coolaroo at Heritage Bank Oval from 7:00pm.
The fourth placed Bombers, were able to hold on against Goondiwindi last week and stay in the top 4. As for the men in navy blue, the ‘Roos hosted the Tigers and won convincingly by 111-points. We don’t have to go back too far for when these two rivals last met. Round 6, with scores level at half-time Coolaroo kicked away in the second half booting 8 goals to 2 to secure the 40-point victory in Highfields.
Coolaroo will start favourites, as last years preliminary finalists are on a three-game winning streak and will be looking to their fourth victory to stay in touch with ladder leaders University. For the Bombers, collecting the four premiership points and results go their way could see themselves two games clear in the top 4 over fifth place.
