South Burnett's great run claimed its biggest victim as the Saints handed University its first loss of the AFL Darling Downs division one season.
The Saints hosted the previously unbeaten Cougars at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday and after building a three-goal lead at half-time, went on with the job in the second half to run out 14.14 (98) to 8.12 (60) victors.
That is South Burnett's third win in a row and stamps the Saints as a genuine contender this season.
Mitchell Francis and Nathan Trace each kicked four goals for the Saints in great individual performances.
University is still on top of the ladder and South Burnett third despite the result.

South Toowoomba took sole ownership of fourth spot with a 14.7 (91) to 12.7 (79) win over Goondiwindi at Heritage Oval on Saturday night.
Both teams were in equal fourth heading into the game, which doubled as the Bombers' charity fundraiser in support of Beyond Blue, and while Souths led at the first two changes it was Goondiwindi that held a five-point advantage going into the final term.
The Bombers defence kept the Hawks goal-less in the last term though as three goals lifted the hosts to a 12-point win.
Matthew Cox kicked four goals while Coen Slatter was judged best on ground.
Coolaroo also posted a 19.17 (131) to 3.2 (20) win over Toowoomba Tigers at Gold Park, with Adam Green slotting six goals.
Meanwhile, Jayde Struhs kicked six majors as Toowoomba Tigers downed Dalby 9.10 (64) to 4.5 (29) to stay unbeaten in the AFLDD women's competition.
