The Gap Women have continued to pump up their goal difference with a resounding 9-1 win over SWQ Thunder Women at Clive Berghofer Stadium.
Ruth Blackburn notched a hat-trick to maintain her fantastic scoring record this season, as the visiting side scored three goals in the opening 10 minutes on their way to an unassailable 6-1 lead at the break.
The Gap now boast a goal difference of +44 and move top of the table, although Peninsula Power Women could reclaim the lead with a win over Brisbane Olympic Women on Sunday.
Thunder visit Sunshine Coast Women next Sunday needing a win to stay within touching distance of the top four, while Gators host Gold Coast City Women.
