South Burnett Saints women's captain Natalie Fenton knew Saturday's contest against the Toowoomba Tigers was going to be tough.
"They're the top ladies team and we knew that going into it,” Fenton said.
"The scoreboard didn't look too great, but I think we took a lot out of the game.”

The Tigers are the yard stick of the AFL Darling Downs competition, and gave the Saints a front-row showing of what it takes to be the best women's side in the competition.
Emily Hewitt bagged 10 goals for the visitors, while Jayde Struhs and Jessie Gilbey kicked five apiece as the Tigers ran out 209-6 winners.
Kayla Smith kicked the Saints' only goal during a promising period of play in the second quarter, where the Saints limited their high-flying opponents to only a handful of chances.
But it was a task too much for the Saints, who looked good in patches but ultimately were showed up by a more experienced football side.
"It showed that when we worked together and put our minds to it we can make it hard for them,” Fenton said.
The captain said it was easy for her side to stay positive in the face of heavy losses, and it is only a matter of time before the improvements on the training track translate into wins.
"The effort the girls put in as a team can't be questioned,” Fenton said.
"We always put in as much as we can at training. We have that fire in our belly for it.”
