The Gap showcased their title credentials at Kawana Sports Precinct on Sunday afternoon, comfortably defeating Sunshine Coast FC 8-0 to keep pace with the top of the table.
The Gap's Megan Price proved a constant threat throughout, consistently providing dangerous set-piece ball and netting a thunderous strike from 20-yards out to ice a dominant display.
Despite brilliant defending from Cassandra Buhmann, Fire were unable to repel an in-form Gators' attack and will be eager to turn things around when they play Eastern Suburbs away next weekend.
The Gap next travel to Clive Berghofer Stadium to play South West Queensland Thunder, as they continue to chase ladder leaders Peninsula Power.
