Echuca has probably been the biggest disappointment of the teams that came into 2017 with high expectations.
Unfortunately the Murray Bombers have not been able to get their season rolling, with victories only against the league’s bottom two teams on the ladder.
Coach Andrew Briggs is no mug and he too would know that his team needs to start winning if it wants to play finals this season.
Last weekend with so much on the line, the Murray Bombers really failed to fire a shot in the first three quarters.
Against the visiting Mansfield today, the Murray Bombers will be out to get off to a quick start, but it will need to put some time in to curbing some of the club’s in-form players in Benjamin Fagan, Jacob Howes, Earl Ree-Goodings, Thomas German, Nicholas Gray and Brett Mahoney.
Echuca will be looking for a lift from its entire playing group to lend support to the likes of Daniel Willis, Bart Phillips, Ruory Kirkby, Mitchell Kemp, Liam Wilkinson and Lucas Denton who all tried hard in the loss to its Campaspe Shire rival.
Tip: Echuca.

Echuca will be looking to continue its climb up the ladder when it takes on the winless Mansfield.
Former Echuca United player Lisa Drysdale has fitted in really well this season while youngsters Olivia Hannon and Eve Gregor have continued to blossom with each senior game.
The Murray Bombers will be desperate to make it two wins on the trot against the visitors who have been well led by Amy Dixon-Rielly, Laura Herridge and Jessica Walker.
Tip: Echuca.
