AFL Darling Downs this evening have named the Toowoomba Motor Group (TMG) - Toowoomba City and Darling Downs Country, women's teams ahead of Saturday's festival of football.
The TMG Darling Downs Country side boast the likes of AFLW Brisbane Lions 2017 player, Shaleise Law along with regular Westpac Women's stars in Shaye Easton (Dalby Swans), Shania Roy (Lockyer Valley) and Sarah McKendry (Warwick).
For the TMG Toowoomba City side only draw from the Toowoomba Tigers and South Toowoomba with the reigning premiers boasting 14 of the 22 player City side.
City will start as favourites with the likes of Mariah Pasfield, Racquelle Sutton, Jessica Harvey and Mackenzie Farmer.
Regional Manager for the Darling Downs, Jeff Neumann said it should be a first class representative match to kick-start a massive day of footy for the region.
"The TMG Women's City verses Country, should be a great game with both sides boasting very talented players," Regional Manager Jeff Neumann said.
"It will be great to see Shaleise (Law) in action for the TMG Country side.
"To see the regions best women's players in the one match, is something not to miss and I am looking forward to seeing who will gain the bragging rights after this contest," Neumann added.
