Saturday's round 4 fixture of the Allied Pickford's Cup, goes down as a ground-breaking victory for the South Burnett Saints.
The final score, saw the Saints record a 22-point victory over Coolaroo at Lyle Vidler Oval. However, for the men in the navy blue they implemented something very unique and a first for the Allied Pickford's Cup.
Coolaroo had not one, not even two but four father-son combinations on team-sheet.
Head coach Ben Adams started everything and his son, Josh Adams donned the #8 jersey. Add to this forward Thomas Claydon played along side his brother Harry and his father Matt Claydon. The combination didn't stop their, former Coolaroo premiership coach Nick Barker wound back the clock and played along-side his son Mason while Nick's premiership assistant coach Leigh Riseley ran out side by side with his son Ray.
Although the Roo's went down, it will go down as a memorable day for these father-son combinations.
There is even more possibility that the family club could extend with the likes Alex and Carl Horsfall playing side by side along with the Mason brothers Luke and Bryce.
