South Toowoomba got its AFL Darling Downs season off the mark with a 33-point win over South Burnett at Heritage Oval on Saturday.
Both teams went into the game win-less but that remains just for South Burnett after the Bombers recorded a 15.11 (101) to 10.8 (68) victory in round three.
The game was evenly poised at half-time with South Toowoomba holding an eight-point.
But the Bombers kicked away slotting four goals to two in each of the remaining two quarters to secure the win.
Paul Leidig was impressive for the victors, while Brent Walker kicked four goals.
While South Burnett remains win-less, University and Coolaroo are unbeaten after round three wins.
Coolaroo held on for a 16.18 (114) to 12.10 (82) win at Riddles Oval after leading Goondiwindi 64 points at three-quarter time.
Adam Green again topped the goal scorer's list with five majors for the 'Roos.
University also unveiled another Holman Medal-winning recruit in its 20.13 (133) to 5.3 (33) victory over Toowoomba Tigers at USQ.
Multiple Holman Medal winner Brendan Iles kicked four goals for the Cougars, who also lured back last year's league best and fairest Tyhe Clarkson as Warwick plays division two this season.
Meanwhile, Dalby finished strongly to record a narrow 4.3 (27) to 3.8 (26) win over Goondiwindi in women's round three action.
Dalby trailed by one goal at three-quarter time but lifted to overrun the Hawks in the final term at Goondiwindi.
Toowoomba Tigers built on their winning ways with a big victory over Lockyer-Warwick while South Toowoomba also posted a dominant win over South Burnett.
