The top two teams in the Peter Jackson VFL remain undefeated after Saturday’s Round 4 action.
Port Melbourne and the Box Hill Hawks went into the weekend as the only sides holding a 3-0 record and they emerged without a blemish in the loss column following victories over Essendon by 27 points and Geelong by 42 points respectively.
Also on Saturday, Sandringham improved its record to 3-1 with a hard-fought 14-point win against a highly competitive North Ballarat outfit, as did Footscray with a thrilling seven-point triumph over Richmond.

After a lengthier-than-usual half-time break due to an issue with the ground’s siren, the Hawks took a nine-point lead into the last change before exploding with a burst of majors the Cats couldn’t match.
