Football
Tatura is looming as one of the league’s big improvers in 2017.
The Bulldogs are in a good space as a club, with their reserves putting pressure on for spots in the senior team and the thirds up and about after 12 months in recess.
Their opponent, United knows where it is as a club.
They have turned over between 15-20 players from the team that ran out in round 18 last year.
Coach, Peter Sheehan is seeing little shoots of improvement with every game, with Reid Crowe, Shane Sali, Shane Neaves, Stephen Scott and Joshua Kezerle some of the guys to be playing consistent football in the first month.
The Bulldogs are going well and Sean Martin did really well up forward last weekend while Bradley Ryan, Mitchell Elliott, Rian McGough and Andrew Ciavarella are others to be contributing to the good start to the year.
Tip: Tatura.
Netball
United is flying and it has made a real statement in its victories. Jess Barnes has been a huge hit since joining from Rumbalara.
Her inclusion has provided the impetus for the brilliant start to the year and the likes of Bree Hanslow, Sarah Bohn and Kirsty Hommes have all been rejuvenated.
Tatura has won two games, which is absolutely fantastic for the competition.
Coach Molly Boyle has got the girls playing really well, which is testament of how good an influence she has been at the kennel.
She knows this will be another big challenge for her girls.
Tip: United.
