Girls Branch Titles

Wagga City Wanderers academy girls have had a very busy weekend over in Griffith competiting for the Branch titles and trialling for the Riverina selection against tough opposition. The 3 squads played 6 games in total over the two days against Albury, Griffith and South West Slopes opposition.

The Under 16's Girls had 2 convincing wins over the South West Slopes and fell short to Griffith and Albury on both Occasions but with big Improvement in each second game coming ever so close against Albury in a 3-2 loss after losing 6-1 on Saturday.

The 14's girls unfortunatley played their hearts out but fell short to both Griffith and Albury is close encounters with improvements in all games. The 14's girls only played 4 games due to South West slopes not having a team in the 14's.

The Under 12's girls had an awesome weekend with 3 draws on Saturday followed up by another draw and 2 losses by 2 goals and then 1 goal on Sunday. The girls were very competitive all weekend and were super unlucky to not come away with atleast 1 win over the weeken. The girls had 4 draws and 2 losses for the weekend. An effort to be super proud of.

Football Wagga Wagga and the Wagga City Wanderers would like to Congratulate the girls and wish them all the best in their selections for the Riverina squads.
