The Bulldogs notched their second win of 2017 while the Roosters remain winless through three games.

The Bulldogs exploded from midway through the second quarter at VU Whitten Oval, piling on 19 unanswered goals until North Ballarat broke the run late in the final term. The Roosters started brightly with three of the first five majors of the game to hold a seven-point lead entering time-on of the opening stanza but soon faded.
