Brisbane Olympic have secured a dominant 4-0 victory over South West Queensland Thunder at Goodwin Park on Sunday night.
In a tense opening stanza, Olympic repelled a number of Thunder's raids before Ramone Close scored the first goal in the 40th minute.
The second half was a much more open affair, with Close netting his brace from the penalty spot and Sam Cronin adding polish to the scoreline after a Thunder own goal.
The win sees Olympic keep pace with Gold Coast City, setting up a top-of-the-table clash on the Gold Coast next weekend.
Thunder host Western Pride, still looking for their first win of the season.
