There was then just the one game on Saturday night of the 2017 WSBL competition with The Sixty 30 Joondalup City Wolves defeating the East Perth Eagles 80-62 at Morley Sport and Recreation Centre.
The Wolves are coming off winning last year's minor premiership and being only seconds away from winning the championship in the grand final against the Willetton Tigers.

Joondalup pulled away in the second quarter to lead by six points at half-time and extended that to 13 by three quarter-time and 18 by the final buzzer. They did so with Michelle SWAIN coaching in the absence of Craig FRIDAY, who had Australian commitments.
Courtney GERWING came up big for the Lady Wolfpack with Klara WISCHER not suiting up. GERWING finished the night with 20 points and four assists on the back of shooting 9-of-11 from the field.
