FNQ FC Heat have handed Brisbane Olympic their first defeat of the 2017 season with a 1-0 victory at Endeavour Park on Saturday night.
The hosts were the first side this campaign to keep the previously undefeated Olmypic scoreless, recording their third victory of the season and thrusting themselves into the competition's top four.
Lorenzo Sipi had an early chance for the Heat but the hosts rarely troubled Olympic keeper Thomas Carroll from there on.
Andrew Coyne forced consecutive saves out of Kevin Ward close to half-time and the shotstopper also denied Jordan Zabel partway through the second half.
The fixture appeared destined for a stalemate before Scott Sargent calmly slotted home the game's only goal in the dying stages of the second half.
Heat now travel south to face Western Pride in search of a third victory on the trot while Olympic will be looking to bounce back with three consecutive home fixtures at Goodwin Park.
