The 2017 TRFM Gippsland League was launched in style on Friday night, with more than 150 guests attending a function at Traralgon's Premiere Function Centre.
The event was hosted by league naming rights partner TRFM and featured three-time AFL premiership star Paul Chapman as guest speaker.
The former Geelong and Essendon forward, who booted 336 goals in an extraordinary 251-game career for the Cats, which included three premierships, two All-Australian jumpers, one best-and-fairest award and a Norm Smith Medal prior to joining the Bombers for two seasons in 2014, spoke at length about his playing career, retirement and life in and out of footy.
TRFM Gippsland League's senior interleague football coach Harmit Singh and representative netball coaches Kate French, Krissy Travers and Jo Ballinger addressed the audience on this year's representative programs, before coaches and representatives from all 10 clubs were quizzed on what may lie in store for their senior football and A grade netball teams in 2017.
Premiership flags were also handed out to clubs that enjoyed success in 2016.
Among the guests were life members, sponsors, players and club volunteers.
The season kicks off Saturday, 8 April.
