Eleven Swisse VFL Women's players have been named in the inaugural Virgin Australia AFL Women's All-Australian team.
The team was selected with 16 players on the field and six interchange players, replicating the composition of AFLW team line-ups.
There were 40 VFL Women's players announced in the initial squad of 40, reduced to 22 at the W Awards in Melbourne on Tuesday night.

Darebin and Melbourne’s Daisy Pearce was named captain of the inaugural Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All-Australian Team, with Adelaide’s Grand Final hero Erin Phillips appointed vice captain.
Pearce was one of six Darebin players named in the final team, the most of any VFL Women's club. Melbourne Uni was next with three, followed by St Kilda and Eastern Devils with one apiece.
AFL General Manager of Football Operations Simon Lethlean said selection in the inaugural Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All-Australian Team was a significant honour.
“The Virgin Australia AFL Women’s All-Australian Team recognises the best players in each position throughout the inaugural season,” Mr Lethlean said.
“These players have all represented their clubs with distinction and have been integral to the success of NAB AFL Women’s.
“To be named in the team indicates that these players have not only reached a level of excellence but managed to maintain consistency week-in-week out.
“I want to congratulate the entire squad of 40 players, and the final team of 22. Selecting both the squad and team was a difficult process and there will of course be players unlucky not to be included.
“The final team represents the best players of an incredible opening season and will be an achievement long cherished by the players selected.”
