Ruth Blackburn scored a captain's double to lead The Gap Women to a 2-1 win over Gold Coast City Women at Duncan McKenna Field on Sunday afternoon.
Blackburn's second goal hit the back of the net just as the clock struck 90 minutes, handing Gators a late victory and extending their winning streak to an insane 29 matches.
Jayde Lowe's looping header had pulled Gold Coast level but the home side was ultimately unable to hold out against the two-time reigning premiers.
The Gap are at home against Souths United Women next Sunday, while Gold Coast will make the long drive up to Sunshine Coast Women.
