NOTICE: Surfside Waves seeking more female players for 2017 season
SURFSIDE Waves Soccer Club in Ocean Grove would like to reach out to any females looking to take up or continue playing football.
According to club president Kev Bowers, the Shell Road Reserve club has seen a massive increase in female participation over the last two years and would like to see that growth continue.
"This year, we will be fielding a team in the new U12's competition, we're hoping to field two teams in the U15's league and two Senior women's teams in Division 1 and 2 respectively," Bowers explained.
"The club has opportunities in all teams for soccer playing females across the Geelong region, but particularly the U12's and the Women's teams," he added.
