Culture Wins
Championship teams separate themselves from the pack by having a rock-solid culture. One that everyone in the organisation has full buy in and commitment to. Anything less is unacceptable.
Championship cultures do not just happen. They take time and effort to create, and are developed with that purpose in mind, winning championships.
Every company, organisation and team that has had sustained success has invested the valuable time developing the people and creating the culture that they want.
Once the cultural standards are agreed upon, it is then up to the people to “walk the walk, not talk the talk”. Too often the people do not live and breathe the agreed values, turning a once positive culture into one that is the worst kind, corrosive.
Culture is one of the most essential yet overlooked aspects of building a championship program. You can be an absolute wizard with the X’s and O’s but if you don’t have a positive and productive culture, you’re in trouble.
