After a public poll held over the past week showed a clear favourite the new GVL Board has supported public opinion to officially adopt the new GVL logo.
The adopted logo, number two of the four options presented to the public, has a contemporary, sleek and clear look as well as clearly uniting football and netball under the one banner.
GVL Chairman David Roff is excited at the direction the League is now heading.
“The enthusiasm at the Board table last night was palpable for the unified structure and for the opportunity to work towards a shared vision for our clubs” he said.
“When the four concepts were presented to clubs option two received the most support and this choice was reflected in the feedback from fans and supporters via the online poll. This made the choice of the Board an easy one to ratify and formally adopt the branding.”
“Thank you to GOTAFE for their support and work in developing the logo and I am also very pleased to announce that they have extended their partnership to also embrace netball.”
“The new entity will therefore officially be called the GOTAFE Goulburn Valley League.”
“Our relationship with GOTAFE continues to grow and this is just another step in that relationship working for the benefit of football, netball and the community.”
Paul Culpan, GOTAFE’s Chief Executive Officer is proud for his organisation to be part of the new direction.
“GOTAFE is extremely proud to continue as major sponsors of the GVFL and in turn the newly formed GVL” he said.
“Football and Netball play such a large part in this community, with many of our students, staff and families associated with local clubs.”
“The logo embraces a new contemporary direction for the league and GOTAFE is excited to be contributing to its future.”
