Gmcu Lady Gators win their first on the road
Melbourne Uni started strongly taking out the first quarter 11 to 1. The Gmcu lady gators couldn't get a basket to drop but as the second quarter came around they showed what they were made of by clawing their way back into the game. Three three point shots by Jaqui Kitto saw the girls come out in the third quarter just two points away from the Angels. From this point on it was a game not be missed as the girls worked tough on defensive strategies put in place through the week. Contributions from Leah French, Bree Sharp and some tough work under the basket by Nikki Boote saw the girls right in the mix going into the fourth. Great support from Morgan Owen CJ Judd and Crissi Reynolds saw the girls take control of the game with 5 to go and from this point never looked like losing. At best a 1 and 1 on the road Coach Jodie Danaher couldn't be happier. With confidence the girls look to Whittlesea tommorrow and will in no doubt give their best effort. Final score 60- 54 go GMCU Gators!!
